Wedding Tree
A spot that most locals don't even know how to find, provides a wonderful high vantage point of the Tetons and is located in Bridger-Teton National Forest which makes it dog friendly and less restrictive than the National Park.
Located off of Gros Ventre Road (pronounced "grow vaunt) pass the Gros Ventre River Ranch, is a small pullout parking lot on the right just before Lower Slide Lake comes into view. A five-minute trail from the parking lot leads you to an old tree at the edge of a ridge overlooking the Tetons.
The Wedding Tree gets it's name from the popularity of the spot for getting hitched. An additional photo of the view can be seen on the About page.
