When John D. Rockefeller financed the building of Jackson Lake Lodge he required that televisions wouldn't be placed in the rooms. Who blames him, once you see the breathtaking beauty out on the back deck, you won't worry about watching fiction.
A field of willows between you and the mountains provides ample opportunity to spot moose and elk hiding out during the day. If the evening is cloudy, you might want to stick around for sunsets that can light up the whole sky with a nice silhouette of the mountain range.
The saying about, "You can't have rainbows without rain" is true for unique photography in Jackson Hole. The weirder the weather the more unique things can get visually. This photograph from Jackson Lake was a result of sunshine, downpour, hail-storm all within one hour, providing me with one of the most unique sunsets I had witnessed in the valley. Often cloudless blue-sky days don't make for great photos.
